Upholstery Cleaning
The upholstered furniture in your home or office gets a lot of use, and it can actually soil more quickly than your carpets. With regular use, upholstered furniture will absorb oils from the skin, collects dust, dander, and other particulates, and generally becomes soiled fairly easily. At Clean Masters, our skilled upholstery cleaning professionals can restore your upholstered furniture using specialized techniques and equipment that will not damage your furniture or draperies.
Upholstery Maintenance
Regular vacuuming and taking action when any spills occur is important in maintaining health upholstery, but there will come a time when your upholstery will be in need of professional attention to restore and extend its lifespan. Hiring a professional upholstery cleaner is vastly cheaper than replacing or reupholstering your furniture.
Specialized Upholstery Cleaning
Before our experts clean and restore your furniture, they will closely examine your upholstery to determine which cleaning techniques are the most suitable. Most modern furniture comes with a cleaning code, which can usually be found on the label. This cleaning code provides an immediate recommendation as to what cleaning method should be used.
Typical Cleaning Codes:
W- This code states that the fabric may be cleaned with water or any water-based cleaner. Furniture with this type of cleaning code is usually the easiest to clean.
S- This code states that water should not be used to clean the fabric, a dry cleaning method combined with specialized cleaning solvents are recommended. Any furniture that has this cleaning code should be cleaned by a professional since special cleaning equipment is required.
S/W- This type of code states that both dry cleaning and water-based cleaning may be used on the furniture. Keep in mind that the fabric should never be saturated in water.
X- This type of code states that the furniture cannot be cleaned with any water based solvents or chemicals. Furniture with this cleaning code should only be vacuumed or gently brushed.
Deodorization and Sanitization
Upholstery, just like carpets, is susceptible to collecting dust, allergens and other contaminants that can turn your home or business into an unhealthy environment or cause unwanted odors. A poorly maintained sofa, for example, can become a breeding ground for dust mites and other bacteria that can cause unpleasant odors and allergic reactions. Our upholstery cleaning experts can effectively sanitize and deodorize your furniture, creating a safer and healthier environment in your home or business.
Stain Elimination
When your upholstered furniture becomes stained it can be difficult to remove those stains with the use of consumer products. In some cases the consumer products you use can cause more harm, permanently damaging your upholstery. Clean Masters can remove many types of stains from all kinds of upholstery by using specialized methods that are suitable for each kind of fabric. With daily use, spills and stains are inevitable, but we can help protect your upholstery in the future by applying specialized products and providing tips for regular maintenance to keep your upholstery looking fresh and feeling clean.
